Taking cues from the strong global markets, the Sensex opened with a positive gap of 107 points at 14,171. The index soon rallied to a high of 14,269, and thereafter displayed range-bound movement for major part of the trading day.However, aggressive selling in late noon trades saw the index erase gains and slip into the negative zone to a low of 14,058 - down 211 points from the day's high. The Sensex finally ended with a gain of 20 points at 14,083.
