The Sensex today opened up 191 points at 13,780. In the process it recouped all of yesterday's losses. The index moved sideways throught the trading day and touched a low of 13,780. Aggressive buying in realty and banking stocks helped the index to touch the day's high of 14,123, up 534 points.
The Sensex finally ended (provisional) up 511 points at 14,100.
