The Sensex has extended gains and is now up 225 points at 11,193. The index has rallied nearly 500 points from the day's low of 10,719.
Tata Motors has soared 13% to Rs 285. DLF has zoomed 12% to Rs 261.
BHEL and Mahindra & Mahindra have surged 8% each to Rs 1,641 and Rs 484, respectively.
Jaiprakash Associates and Ranbaxy have rallied 6% each to Rs 125 and Rs 200, respectively.
Hindalco, Sun Pharma and SBI have gained 5.5% each at Rs 63, Rs 1,211 and Rs 1,284, respectively.
Reliance Communications, ICICI Bank, Tata Steel, Larsen & Toubro, Grasim, ACC, Reliance Infrastructure, Reliance and Bharti Airtel are up 3-4% each.
However, Infosys has dropped 3.5% to Rs 1,360. TCS has shed 2% at Rs 579, and Tata Power has slipped 1.5% to Rs 895.

HDFC and Sterlite have also declined.
The market breadth continues to remain fairly positive - out of 2,653 stocks traded so far, 2,137 have advanced, and 460 have declined.
