The market, which showed signs of easing in early noon trades, has firmed up in current trades following fresh buying in select old and new economy stocks. The Sensex, which slipped below 6,200 mark on paring of gains in select stocks, is now up 104 points at 6,207. The Nifty has moved up 36 points to 1,950.Infosys is trading higher with a gain of 3.19% (Rs 61) at Rs 1,964. While Satyam has gained 2.50% (Rs 9) to Rs 365, Wipro is up 2% (Rs 13) at Rs 670.While Reliance is still trading with a per cent gain (Rs 3) at Rs 521, HLL is up a rupee at Rs 140. ITC, however, has come under relentless selling pressure, and has tumbled nearly 3% (Rs 37) to Rs 1,232.SBI is holding on to its firm gains at Rs 588 - up Rs 16 or 2.83%. HDFC Bank is trading with a healthy gain of 4.30% (Rs 21) at Rs 500, and ICICI Bank is up 2.25% (Rs 8) at Rs 353.ONGC has advanced 1.44% (Rs 11) to Rs 788. While Tata Power has mopped up 4% gains (Rs 14) to Rs 353, Tisco is up 3.49% (Rs 12) at Rs 356.Gujarat Ambuja has notched up 5% gains (Rs 20) to Rs 421. While ACC has flared up 4.21% (Rs 14) to Rs 347, Grasim has gained 2.19% (Rs 27) to Rs 1,273.Maruti has jumped 5.34% (Rs 22) to Rs 435, and Tata Motors is up 2.80% (Rs 13) at Rs 488. Bajaj and Hero Honda are trading off-highs with gains at Rs 1,097 (up Rs 17 or 1.55%) and Rs 555 (up Rs 8 or 1.39%), respectively.Hindalco has scaled up 2% (Rs 25) to Rs 1,266. HPCL, however, is subdued with a loss of Rs 2 at Rs 362.
