Sensex flat; IT, Metal major losers

Constant- bouts of buying and selling in the market  has tossed the index into the alternative zones of red and green. The index is now  flat at 14,869, down six points.

The BSE IT and the Metal indices are down 1% each at 3,200 and 11,626, respectively.

While the Power and the Bankex indices are up around 2% each at 2,987 and 8,114, respectively.

Reliance Infrastructures has soared 5% to Rs 1,259.

SBI has advanced 4% to Rs 1,705.

BHEL and Tata Power have added over 2.5% each to Rs 2,227 and Rs 1,169, repsectively.

Tata Motors , ITC, DLF, Reliance Communications, Jaiprakash Associates and and Sun Pharma have are up 1-2% each.

TCS has plunged 51% to Rs 382. Sterlite has dropped 5% to Rs 630.

Wipro has declined 3% to Rs 390 .

Tata Steel, Grasim, ACC and ICICI Bank are down over 1.5% each.

The market breadth is negative-out of 2,536 shares traded, 1,189 have advnced and 1,271 have declined.
