After a massive 869 points plunge on the Sensex yesterday, the index today opened 60 points higher at 14,103.
The Sensex zoomed to a high of 14,252, up 209 points from the previous close. The index has now pared all its gains and is now flat at 14,042, up two points.
Maruti and ITC have gained around 5% at Rs Rs 1,085 and Rs 207, respectively.
Larsen & Toubro and ITC have advanced 3% each to Rs 1,510 and Rs 698, respectively.
Reliance Infrastructure and Jaiprakash Associates have added 2% each to Rs 1,154 and Rs 197, respectively.
Sterlite has slipped 3% to Rs 570 and Reliance has dropped 2% to Rs 1,855.
