The Sensex opened with a marginal positive gap of eight points at 10,617. The index displayed undecided moves for the major part of the trading day wherein the index touched a low of 10,589.However, buying gained momentum towards the end and the index rallied to a high of 10,730 - up 141 points from the day's low.The index finally ended with gains for the third straight day, up 86 points at 10,695.The BSE FMCG index moved up 1.6% to 1981, and the Teck index added 1.2% to 2525.The market breadth was neutral - out of 2,428 stocks traded, 1,195 advanced, 1,156 declined and 77 were unchanged today.INDEX MOVERS & SHAKERSTCS surged 3.7% to Rs 1,800. HLL gained 3.5% at Rs 237.Infosys advanced 2.5% to Rs 3,152. SBI and Reliance Communicatons added 2% each to Rs 742 and Rs 254, respectively.ONGC, Reliance and ITC were up around 1% each at Rs 1,124, Rs 1,071 and Rs 184, respectively.Wipro dropped 2.5% to Rs 502. Grasim and HDFC Bank shed 1.8% each to Rs 1,899 and Rs 779, respectively.VALUE & VOLUME TOPPERSReliance topped the value chart with a turnover of Rs 222.53 crore followed by Reliance Communications (Rs 126 crore), Tata Steel (Rs 100.30 crore), HLL (Rs 83.74 crore) and Reliance Capital (Rs 77.48 crore).Reliance Communications led the volume chart with trades of around 50.83 lakh shares followed by G V Films (50.41 lakh), HLL (35.39 lakh), SAIL (26.36 lakh) and Essar Oil (25.43 lakh).
