Sensex highly volatile

In the last half and hour, the stock had slipped negative, but has now enterred the positive zone. Constant bouts of buying and selling in the market has tossed the indices into the postive and the negative zone simultaneously. The Sensex is now at 12,174 - up 40 points

In the last one hour, on account of constant buying in the market following a positive cues from the UK markets. The index has rebounded into the positive terrain. The Sensex is now at 12,150 - up 15 points.

DLF has zoomed around 12.5% to Rs 263. Tata Steel has soared 8% to Rs 284. ICICI Bank and Tata Motors have surged over 7% each to Rs 561 and Rs 275, respectively.

Reliance Infastructure has gained 6% at Rs 794.
Ranbaxy and Reliance Communications are up 4% each at Rs 178 and Rs 238, respectively.

On the other hand HDFC has slipped 4% to Rs 1,878. Infosys has shed over 3%  to Rs 1,576.

ITC, TCS have tumbled to 3% each at Rs 199 and Rs 647, respectively.

The market breadth continues to remain fairly positive, out of 2,567 shares traded, 1,523 have advanced and 950 have declined.
