The Sensex is still holding above the 6,500 levels with buying particularly seen strong in select heavyweights, auto and other old economy counters. It is now up 52 points at 6,655. The Nifty, however, has flared up 18 points to 2,098.Reliance (up Rs 3 to Rs 537) and ITC (up Rs 6 to Rs 1,316) are up with steady gains. HLL is up a rupee at Rs 144.Infosys is trading with a per cent gain (Rs 18) at Rs 2,107. Wipro and Satyam are up with modest gains at Rs 749 and Rs 412, respectively.SBI, HDFC Bank and ICICI Bank are up a per cent each at Rs 659, Rs 522 and Rs 373, respectively.Bajaj has notched up 2.17% gains (Rs 25) to Rs 1,156. While Hero Honda hs moved up 2.41% (Rs 14) to Rs 585, Maruti is up 1.31% (Rs 6) at Rs 467. Tata Motors also is trading at higher levels at Rs 511 - up Rs 6.Bharti has advanced 2.83% (Rs 6) to Rs 222 on sustained buying support. Hindalco has jumped 2.50% (Rs 36) to Rs 1,462.ACC is up a per cent (Rs 3) at Rs 341. Grasim and Gujarat Ambuja are trading with steady gains at Rs 1,330 and Rs 407, respectively.
