The Sensex opened 96 points lower at 8,939, touched a low of 8,922, and then rebounded into the positive zone. The index touched a high of 9,100, and is now up 17 points at 9,052.
Reliance has gained 2% at Rs 1,294.
Reliance Infrastructure, Reliance Communications and Ranbaxy have moved up 1.7% each to Rs 528, Rs 166 and Rs 208, respectively.
Bharti Airtel, Tata Steel and Jaiprakash Associates are up over 1% each at Rs 642, Rs 174 and Rs 69, respectively.
HDFC has shed 2.6% at Rs 1,395.
ICICI Bank has dropped 1.7% to Rs 379, and Hindustan Unilever has slipped 1.4% to Rs 248.
DLF, Hindalco and BHEL are down 1% each at Rs 146, Rs 42 and Rs 1,368, respectively.
