The Sensex has rallied past 6,500-mark to 6,501 - up 120 points as steep buying continues in heavyweights, tech and banking stocks. The Nifty is up 36 points at 2,030.ITC has shot up 4.47% (Rs 57) to Rs 1,338. While ONGC has moved up 2.13% (Rs 18) to Rs 877, Reliance has advanced 1.54% (Rs 8) to Rs 551.Infosys has flared up 2.68% (Rs 58) to Rs 2,227, and Satyam has logged 3.96% gains (Rs 16) to Rs 412. Wipro has rallied 4.71% (Rs 30) to Rs 660.ICICI Bank hasw gained 4% (Rs 15) to Rs 398. HDFC Bank (up Rs 12 or 2.29% to Rs 545) and SBI (up Rs 5 to Rs 666) are trading with steady gains.HPCL has gained 2.34% (Rs 7) to Rs 310, and Tisco is up 2% (Rs 8) at Rs 405. Zee has added 2.48% (Rs 3) to Rs 139.Bajaj has moved up nearly 3% (Rs 29) to Rs 1,063, and Maruti is up a per cent (Rs 4) at Rs 423. While Tata Motors, too, is trading higher at Rs 417 (up Rs 5), Hero Honda is down a per cent (Rs 6) at Rs 539.Bharti has inched up by 1.87% (Rs 4) to Rs 206, while BHEL has added 2.56% (Rs 19) to Rs 770. HDFC, however, is down 1.37% (Rs 10) at Rs 725.
