Sensex moves sideways; SBI up 2%

The Sensex is exhibiting sideways movement and is now at 16,183, down 80 points.

The NSE Nifty is at 4,802, down 30 points.

Sterlite has dropped 3% to Rs 721. Hindalco has slipped 2.5% to Rs 121. Grasim Industries, DLF, Tata Motors, Reliance Communication and ONGC are down over 1.5% each.

SBI and Tata Steel advanced 2% to Rs 1,955 and Rs 478, respectively.

Wipro, Hinduatan Unilever and Jaiprakash Associates are up over 1% each.

The market breadth is fairly positive- out of 2,772 shares traded, 1,385 advanced and 1,312 declined so far on the BSE.
