Sensex near day's high

The markets are near its day's high and is now at 17,847, up 154 points. The NSE Nifty is 46 points higher at 5,337.

Hero Honda, ICICI Bank, Reliance Infrastrcuture and Tata Steel have gained 3% each at Rs 2,008, Rs 979, Rs 1,043 and Rs 669, respectively.

DLF, Bharti Airtel, Mahindra & Mahindra and Reliance Industries have added over 2% each.

Hindustan Unilever, TCS and Wipro are down 1% each at Rs 228, Rs 803 and Rs 717, respectively.

The market breadth is positive, out of 2,766 shares traded, 2,120 have advanced and 603 have declined so far on the BSE.

Among the sectoral indices, realty index and auto index has added 2% each.

Orbit Corporation and Anant Raj Industries have added 4% each on the realty index.

Bajaj Auto is the major gainer on the auto index, up 4% each at Rs 2,080.
