The Sensex is still trading in the negative terrain and is now at 13,915, down 255 points.
The Realty index has plummeted nearly 6% to 2,997.
The Bankex, the Consumer durable and the Power indices are among the other laggards on the BSE sectoral indices.
Tata Steel has plunged over 6% to Rs 373.
Reliance Infrstructure and ICICI Bank have slumped 5.6% each to Rs 1,090 and Rs 655, respectively.
Sterlite and DLF have tumbled over 5% each to Rs 564 and Rs 292, respectively.
Larsen & Toubro and HDFC Bank have slipped nearly 4% each to Rs 1,444 and Rs 1,378, respectively.
SBI, Reliance Communications,TCS, ONGC and BHEL have declined 2-3% each.
ACC has advanced nearly 4% to Rs 791.
Tata Motors has gained over 3% to Rs 288.
The market breadth is extremely negative -out of 2,366 shares, 1,866 have declined, only 434 have advanced.
