Profit-taking in select old and new economy stocks has dragged the index below the 6,600-mark in late noon trades. The Sensex, as a result, is now up 40 points at 6,590, while the Nifty is steady at 2,062 - up 10 points.Reliance is trading firm at Rs 571 - up Rs 15 or 2.69%. While ITC has gained 1.29% (Rs 17) to Rs 1,367, HLL has added 2.24% (Rs 3) to Rs 132. ONGC, however, continues to trade with losses at Rs 908 - down Rs 4.SBI at Rs 649 (up Rs 4) and HDFC Bank at Rs 551 (up Rs 8 or 1.57%) have trimmed their gains on profit-taking. ICICI Bank, however, has dipped to Rs 422 - down Rs 2.Zee has surged 4.83% (Rs 7) to Rs 146.Infosys at Rs 2,231 (up Rs 11) and Wipro at Rs 668 (up Rs 8) are trading in a narrow range. Satyam, however, is down a rupee at Rs 416.HPCL is trading with a steady gain of 1.56% (Rs 5) at Rs 322. While L&T is up a per cent (Rs 10) at Rs 1,035, Tisco and Tata Power are trading with steady gains at Rs 388 (up Rs 6 or 1.52%) and Rs 351 (up Rs 4 or 1.28%), respectively.Bajaj is still trading at lower levels at Rs 1,070 - down Rs 14 or 1.25%. While Hero Honda has slipped from higher levels to Rs 536 (down Rs 5), Maruti is trading lower by Rs 2 at Rs 400. Tata Motors, however, is up a per cent (Rs 4) at Rs 410.Bharti has shed 1.63% (Rs 4) to Rs 214, and HDFC is down 1.25% (Rs 9) at Rs 714.
