The Sensex resumed on a firm note at 6,170 - up 35 points over its last close. Sustained buying support in most of the counters saw the index march past the 6,200-mark to touch an early high of 6,215. It is now up 59 points at 6,194, while the Nifty has gained 13 points to 1,922.Reliance has gained 1.22% (Rs 6) to Rs 520. While ONGC has logged 1.49% gains (Rs 12) to Rs 853, ITC is up with a steady gain of Rs 6 at Rs 1,375. HLL is down a tad at Rs 127.HDFC Bank has gained 1.51% (Rs 8) to Rs 539. SBI and ICICI Bank are up a per cent each at Rs 621 (up Rs 5) and Rs 387 (up Rs 3), respectively.Infosys has clocked a per cent gain (Rs 16) to Rs 1,930. While Satyam is up 1.13% (Rs 4) at Rs 372, Wipro is marginally down at Rs 576.Grasim at Rs 1,189 (up Rs 6) and Gujarat Ambuja at Rs 422 (up Rs 3) have added steady gains.Dr. Reddy's and Cipla have commenced with steady gains at Rs 692 and Rs 235, respectively.Hero Honda is up 1.46% (Rs 7) at Rs 494. Bajaj is down 1.11% (Rs 12) at Rs 1,060.Tisco has added 2% (Rs 7) to Rs 354.
