Unabated selling in select index heavyweights has forced the Sensex to pare gains. The index is now up 20 points at 10,188.Cipla is steady with a gain of 2% at Rs 554. Larsen & Toubro, HLL, NTPC, Tata Steel, HDFC and Grasim are the other smart gainers. Dr.Reddy's has shed 2.4% to Rs 1,355. Bajaj Auto (Rs 2,526), Gujarat Ambuja (Rs 86), Infosys (Rs 2,790) and ITC (Rs 163) have declined over 1% each.Jagran Prakashan is in limelight on its debut day. The stock has witnessed wild movements and is currently trading at a discount of over 13% at Rs 278 to the issue price. The counter has clocked a hefty volume of around 87.12 lakh shares.Earlier in the day, the stock opened at a premium of 17.5% at Rs 376. The stock zoomed to a high of Rs 405, and came tumbling down to touch a low of Rs 273. The company had floated its IPO in the price band of Rs 270-324 subsequent to which the company fixed Rs 320 as the issue price.The market breadth is fairly negative. Out of 2,490 stocks traded so far, 1,634 have declined, 793 have advanced and the rest are unmoved.Rain Calcining has surged 15.5% to Rs 46.55. National Fertilisers, Mysore Cement, State Bank of Mysore, Moving Pictures, Shree Cement, Mahindra Ugine, Sterlite Otpical and Hindustan Zinc are the other major gainers.Royal Orchid has slumped over 8% to Rs 189. FACT, Goodricke Sree Sakthi, PBA Infrastructure, National Peroxide, Colour Chips, Dena Bank, Micro Inks, Novartis, Century Enka and GMDC are the other prominent losers.
