The Sensex has recovered partially and is now down 158 points at 17,693. The index had dropped to a low of 17,495.HDFC has plunged nearly 4% to Rs 2,495. ONGC and ICICI Bank have tumbled 3.3% each to Rs 990 and Rs 1,052, respectively.ITC has shed 2.7% to RS 182. Hindalco and Wipro have slipped nearly 2% each to Rs 176 and Rs 462, respectively.Reliance Communications, Grasim and Mahindra & Mahindra have declined around 1.5% each to Rs 636, Rs 3,591 and Rs 760, respectively.HDFC Bank and Bharti Airtel are down 1% each at Rs 1,407 and Rs 959, respectively.NTPC has soared over 2% to Rs 222. Reliance Energy has gained 1.5% at Rs 1,473.Maruti and Tata Motors have advanced 1% each to Rs 1,032 and Rs 797, respectively.Out of 2,749 stocks traded so far, 1,780 have declined, 921 have advanced and 48 are unchanged.
