The Sensex is exhibiting high volatily. The index, which, touched a high of 9303, tumbled to a low of 9191 - down 112 points from the top. However, fresh buying in select stocks has helped the index erase some losses, and the index is now down 66 points at 9248.Wipro continues to trade on firm ground with a gain of 3.2% at Rs 464. Satyam has spurted 1.7% to Rs 738.Tata Steel is the only other notable gainer among the Sensex stocks.HDFC Bank has slipped 2.6% to Rs 729.ONGC has shed 2% at Rs 1,199.Cipla and Dr.Reddy's are down 1.5% each at Rs 430 and Rs 1,002, respectively. Ranbaxy, however, is flat at Rs 886.HDFC, Hindalco, Reliance, BHEL, ITC, ICICI Bank, HLL and Bharti Tele have declined over 1% each.Out of 2,122 stocks traded so far, 650 have advanced, 1,412 have declined and the rest are unchanged.Himachal Futurisic has zoomed over 7% to Rs 19.35. United Breweires, S.Kumars, EID Parry, Educomp, Bartronics, Apollo Hospitals, Indo Gulf, Thermax, Polaris, Indo Rama and Federal Bank are the other smart gainers.ICI India at Rs 328 and Maharashtra Scooters at Rs 308 have plunged 7% each. Unitech, Goodlas Nerolac, Everest Industries, Elecon Engineering, Balaji Tele, BEML, Bombay Dyeing, Punjab Tractors, Dena Bank and Flextronics are on slippery ground.
