The markets have slipped in the last few minutes of trade. The Sensex has shed 100 points around 19,957. The NSE Nifty has slipped 38 points to 5962.

The markets continued to trade flat. The Sensex was up 35 points at 20,096 and the Nifty was higher by 6 points at 6007.
Bharti Airtel was the top gainer on the Sensex, the stock was trading higher by 2.46% at Rs 341 followed by Sterlite Industries, Jindal Steel, Reliance Communication and Mahindra & Mahindra up more than 1% each
On the other hand, Hero Honda continued to witness profit-booking for the second consecutive day, the stock was trading lower by more than 1.5% at Rs 1936. Wipro, Cipla, Maruti Suzuki, Reliance Infrastructure, and TCS were the other notable losers, down more than 0.6% each.
But the broader markets continued to outperform the benchmark indices; the BSE mid-cap index was up 0.4% or 33 points at 7651 and the small-cap index was higher by 0.6% or 56 points at 9365. The BSE 500 market breadth was positive as 312 stocks advanced while 180 stocks declined.
Nava Bharat Ventures was the top gainer among the mid-cap stocks, the stock was higher by 5.77% to Rs 331, Inspat Industries was up 5% at Rs 22. MVL, Essar Ship Ports and Logistics, KGN Industries and Birla Corp were also among the gainers on the mid-cap charts up more than 4.5% each. Among the small-cap stocks Accentia Tech, Kiri Dyes, Tanla Solutions, Jindal Polyfilms and MSP Steel were the top gainers up more than 6.5% each.
On the sectoral charts BSE Realty index was the top gainer, up 1.09% or 30 points at 2798, BSE Metal index was also trading higher by 114 points or 0.6% at 17,211 and PSU index added 0.58% or 53 points at 9398. The BSE Capital Goods indew was the top loser on the sectoral charts downn 22 points or 0.14% at 15,298 followed by Consumer Durables and Auto indices.
Peninsula Land was the top gainer among the Realty stocks. The stock was trading higher by more than 3% at Rs 60 followed by Sobha Developers, Indiabulls Real Estate, HDIL, D B Realty and Unitech up more than 1.6% each. Among the metal stocks, Welspun Corp, Hindustan ZInc, Sterlite Industries, Jindal Steel and Sesa Goa were among the top gainers up more than 1.6% each.
Among the capital goods stocks Thermax was the top loser down 1.72% to Rs 837 followed by Crompton Greaves, Areva T&D, Gammon India and Lakshmi Machine Works down more than 0.5% each. Titan Industries and Videocon Industries were among the top losers on the consumer durable charts.
