The Sensex opened with a positive gap of 51 points at 17,810, and touched a high of 17,841 in opening trades. The index, however, soon slipped into the negative zone, and is now down 196 points at 17,563.The NSE Nifty is down 57 points at 5,111.Hindalco, Satyam and DLF have dropped around 3% each to Rs 171, Rs 383 and Rs 838, respectively.Reliance, NTPC and Tata Steel have slipped over 2% each to Rs 2,414, Rs 198 and Rs 709, respectively.Reliance Energy and ITC have declined nearly 2% each to Rs 1,955 and Rs 196, respectively.Cipla has shed 1.4% at Rs 186. Mahindra & Mahindra and Infosys are down 1% each at Rs 684 and Rs 1,478, respectively.Hindustan Unilever has rallied over 2% to Rs 201.Tata Motors has gained 1.7% at Rs 708, and ONGC is up over 1% at Rs 980.
