The Sensex is now down 651 points at 18,362.DLF and NTPC have slumped 5% each to Rs 955 and Rs 228, respectively.ICICI Bank has tumbled 4.7% to Rs 1,187. Reliance Communicaitons, HDFC Bank and Tata Motors have plunged 4.3% each to Rs 672, Rs 1,509 and Rs 682, respectively.Cipla, ACC and Larsen & Toubro have shed 4% each at Rs 194, Rs 830 and Rs 3,775, respectively.Mahindra & Mahindra has dropped 3.8% to Rs 701. ITC and Bajaj Auto have slipped 3.5% each to Rs 205 and Rs 2,349, respectively.Hindalco, Hindustan Unilever and Maruti have declined over 3% each to Rs 179, Rs 207 and Rs 815, respectively.ONGC and Wipro are also down around 3% each at Rs 1,173 and Rs 442, respectively.The market breadth is extremely negative - out of 2,699 stocks traded so far, 2,418 have declined, 260 have advanced and 21 are unchanged.
