Sensex slips deeper into red; Bharti, Satyam shed 4%

The Sensex has slipped deeper into red after re-opening and is now down 181 points at 13,511.

Bharit Airtel and Satyam have shed 3.7% each at Rs 780 and Rs 321, respectively. ICICI Bank has plunged over 3% to Rs 581.

SBI has tumbled 2.5% to Rs 1,481. NTPC, Wipro and Jaiprakash Associates have dropped 2.3% each to Rs 174, Rs 362 and Rs 121, respectively.

Reliance Infrastructure, Sterlite, Infosys and Reliance have slipped 2% each to Rs 871, Rs 478, Rs 1,494 and Rs 2,008, respectively.

ONGC and BHEL have declined 1.7% each to Rs 1,043 and Rs 1,635, respectively.

ITC is up 1.4% at Rs 196.

Out of 2,193 stocks traded so far, 1,339 have declined, 763 have advanced and the rest were unchanged.
