The Sensex opened with a significant positive gap of 126 points at 13,072, and did not bother to look back. The markets, which were on the recovery path, got another booster dose as the US Federal Reserve kept the benchmark interest rates unchanged yesterday.Unabated buying saw the index rally to a high of 13,326. The index thus gained 1,010 points from the low of 12,316 hit last Friday.The Sensex finally closed today with a hefty gain of 362 points (2.8%) at 13,308. In the process, the index is now up 878 points (7%) in the last four trading days.The market breadth was positive - out of 2,675 stocks traded, 1,658 advanced, 933 declined and 84 were unchanged today.SHINING STARSBHEL and HDFC Bank zoomed 6% each to Rs 2,230 and Rs 1,023, respectively.Maruti and ONGC soared 5% each to Rs 831 and Rs 852, respectively. SBI, Larsen & Toubro and Hero Honda surged 4.7% each to Rs 1,029, Rs 1,573 and Rs 681, respectively.Reliance Communications and Tata Motors rallied around 4% each to Rs 426 and Rs 806, respectively.Satyam and ICICI Bank advanced 3.3% each to Rs 467 and Rs 899, respectively.HLL, ITC and TCS added 3% each to Rs 197, Rs 149 and Rs 1,304, respectively.Reliance gained 2.5% to Rs 1,374. Bajaj Auto, Tata Steel, Bharti Airtel, Wipro and HDFC also finished with gains today.The only loser among Sensex stocks - Grasim down 1% to Rs 2,081. VALUE & VOLUME TOPPERSMindTree topped the value chart with a turnover of Rs 162.25 crore followed by SBI (Rs 111.60 crore), Reliance Communications (Rs 110 crore), Reliance (Rs 99.25 crore) and IFCI (Rs 80.40 crore).IFCI led the volume chart with trades of around 2.81 crore shares followed by Idea (50 lakh), AMD Metplast (38.60 lakh), Welspun Guj SR (34.50 lakh) and Teledata (32.25 lakh).
