The market sentiment remains buoyant in the afternoon trades as strong rally continues in tech and other select old economy stocks. While the Sensex has advanced 72 points to 6,460, the the Nifty has moved up 19 points to 1,996.Infosys has soared 3.72% (Rs 75) to Rs 2,096. While Satyam has gained 2.53% (Rs 10) to Rs 424, Wipro is up 1.57% (Rs 10) at Rs 647.ITC has advanced 2.48% (Rs 36) to Rs 1,477, and ONGC is up a per cent (Rs 8) at Rs 870. Reliance, however, is still down a rupee at Rs 548.Maruti has jumped 2.40% (Rs 10) to Rs 444. While Hero Honda has gained 1.77% (Rs 10) to Rs 550, Tata Motors is up 1.70% (Rs 7) at Rs 433.SBI and ICICI Bank are still up a per cent each at Rs 622 (up Rs 5) and Rs 381 (up Rs 4), respectively. HDFC Bank, however, is still down 1.33% (Rs 7) at Rs 534.ACC is up a per cent (Rs 4) at Rs 381, while Gujarat Ambuja has inched up by 1.27% (Rs 5) to Rs 435.BHEL has added 2% (Rs 17) to Rs 838. Bharti at Rs 221 (up Rs 3 or 1.37%), Tata Power at Rs 363 (up Rs 6 or 1.60%) and Tisco at Rs 359 (up Rs 5 or 1.53%) are trading with steady gains.Ranbaxy has logged 1.80% gains (Rs 17) to Rs 974. While Cipla is up 1.84% (Rs 5) at Rs 277, Dr. Reddy's is down a per cent (Rs 6) at Rs 660.HPCL has dipped 2.19% (Rs 7) to Rs 326.
