After gaining over 30 points gain in early trades, the Sensex is now up 23 points at 6,693 as flat trend is seen in heavyweights and tech stocks, while buying remains strong in other select old economy counters. The Nifty has trimmed its gains to 2,096 - up six points.The broader market is up with 871 advances and 637 declines on the BSE.While Reliance, on a volume of over 2.89 lakh, is still marginally up at Rs 541, ITC is up with a small gain of Rs 4 at Rs 1,318. HLL, however, is down a rupee at Rs 151.Infosys (up Rs 9 to Rs 2,193) and Wipro (up Rs 6 to Rs 712) are trading with steady gains.BHEL has jumped 2.68% (Rs 23) to Rs 874, while L&T has surged 1.90% (Rs 19) to Rs 1,022. Hindalco and HDFC have clocked a per cent gain each to Rs 1,381 (up Rs 11) and Rs 787 (up Rs 8), respectively.SBI, with a volume of over 3.99 lakh, has inched up a per cent (Rs 5) to Rs 667. HDFC Bank, after a weak opening, is up a per cent (Rs 4) at Rs 566.IFCI has soared 7.31% to Rs 18, while Shaw Wallace has jumped 5.23% (Rs 10) to Rs 195. Kalyani Steel has gained 4.94% to Rs 129, and Siemens has added 4.50% (up Rs 69) to Rs 1,595. McDowell is up 4.50% (Rs 7) at Rs 160.
