Sensex still down over 300pts; JP Asso, Rel Infra shed 7%

The Sensex continues to languish at lower levels and is now down 336 points at 9,298.

Jaiprakash Associates has slumped 7.5% to Rs 70. Reliance Infrastructure has tumbled 6.7% to Rs 532.

ICICI Bank and Reliance Communications have plunged around 5.5% each to Rs 410 and Rs 172, respectively.

Tata Steel, Sterlite and SBI have tumbled almost 5% each to Rs 185, Rs 262 and Rs 1,136, respectively.

BHEL, Larsen & Toubro and Reliance have shed around 4.7% each at Rs 1,397, Rs 668 and Rs 1,328, respectively.

DLF has slipped nearly 4% to Rs 154. HDFC Bank and Wipro have declined nearly 3.5% each to Rs 913 and Rs 217, respectively.

ACC, Tata Power and Ranbaxy are down around 3% each to Rs 559, Rs 773 and Rs 206, respectively.

The market breadth is fairly negative - out of 2,367 stocks traded so far, 1,547 have declined, 728 have advanced and the rest are unchanged.
