The Sensex is still languishing in the negative zone and is now at 13,809, down 361 points.
The BSE Realty index has plummeted 7% to 2,963. Bankex has also shed over 4% to 7,464.
ACC has soared 2.5% to Rs 781. Grasim and Tata Motors have added 1.5% each to Rs 2,454 and Rs 284, respectively.
Tata Steel and Sterlite have shed 6.5% each to Rs 372 and Rs 557, respectively. ICICI Bank and DLF have slipped 6% each to Rs 653 and Rs 290, respectively.
Reliance Infrastructure and TCS have dropped around 5% each to Rs 1,100 and Rs 370, respectively. Larsen & Toubro and HDFC have declined around 4% each to Rs 1,442 and Rs 2,276, respectively.
The market breadth is extremely poor, out of 2,216 shares traded, 1,777 have declined and 384 have advanced so far on the BSE.
