The Sensex is now at 15,877, up 188 points.
The NSE Nifty is at 4,735, up 55 points.
Jaiprakash Associates has soared 4% to Rs 227. Reliance Communication has advanced over 3.5% to Rs 303. Tata Motors, Bharti Airtel and TCS have increased over 2.5% each to Rs 303, Rs 523 and Rs 417, respectively.
DLF, Wipro, Hindalco, Sterlite, Tata Power and Tata Steel are up 1.5% each.
The market breadth is extremely strong, out of 2,425 shares traded, 1,916 advanced and 452 have declined so far on the BSE.
The BSE Realty and the metal indices are up 2% each.
