The gains of the index has tapered off in mid-noon trades following selling pressure in auto scrips and paring of gains in heavyweights, tech and banking stocks. The Sensex, as a result, is now up 59 points at 6,216. The Nifty, too, has shed some gains and is now up 17 points at 1,945.Reliance has added 1.34% (Rs 7) to Rs 523, while ONGC is up a per cent (Rs 5) at Rs 952. ITC, however, is still exhibiting weak trends with a loss of Rs 7 at Rs 1,371.HDFC Bank is trading 2.29% higher (Rs 12) at Rs 533. ICICI Bank (up Rs 4 to Rs 391) and SBI (up Rs 4 to Rs 626) have come off their highs on profit-taking.Infosys is trading off-highs at Rs 1,944 - up Rs 32 or 1.68%. While Wipro has gained 1.51% (Rs 9) to Rs 597, Satyam is up a per cent (Rs 3) at Rs 386.Bharti at Rs 210 (up Rs 6 or 3.14%), HDFC at Rs 712 (up Rs 23 or 3.28%), L&T at Rs 980 (up Rs 27 or 2.88%) and Tisco at Rs 357 (up Rs 9 or 2.47%) are trading with strong gains.Cipla has gained 2.11% (Rs 5) to Rs 237. While Ranbaxy is trading a per cent higher (Rs 6) at Rs 946, Dr. Reddy's, however, is down a rupee at Rs 685.Grasim, Gujarat Ambuja and ACC are up a per cent each at Rs 1,184 (up Rs 11), Rs 420 (up Rs 2) and Rs 367 (up Rs 3), respectively.Tata Motors has dropped 2.46% (Rs 10) to Rs 420. While Bajaj has shed 1.24% (Rs 13) to Rs 1,065, Hero Honda is marginally down at Rs 501. Maruti, however, is trading firm with a spurt of nearly 3% (Rs 12) at Rs 418.
