The Sensex is now up 116 points at 12,055.BHEL has surged 2.5% to Rs 2,425. Larsen & Toubro has advanced nearly 2% to Rs 2,712.Gujarat Ambuja and Grasim have gained 1.7% each at Rs 120 and Rs 2,418, respectively.Tata Steel has spurted 2% to Rs 667. ITC has rallied 1.7% to Rs 205. Bajaj Auto, TCS and Reliance are the other smart gainers.ONGC has dropped 2.6% to Rs 1,350. Infosys is down over 1% to Rs 3,192.Out of 2,145 stocks traded so far, 1,579 have advanced, 515 have declined and 51 are unchanged.Thomas Cook has zoomed 17% to Rs 754. Mahindra Gesco, Kewal Kiran, Godrej Industries, Opto Circuits, Ruchi Soya, Todays Writing, Hinduja TMT, RCF, Aventis Pharma, HMT, Mastek, BEML, ICI India, Ashok Leyland, Sterlite are the other major gainers.Patni Computers has dropped 4% to Rs 400. DCN Shriram Consolidated, Subex Systems, FACT, EIH, MphasiS BFL, Arvind Mills, Finolex Industries and Maharashtra Seamless are the other prominent losers.
