Steady gains in select tech, heavyweight and other old economy stocks has seen the index display a positive trend in early trades. While the Sensex has added 13 points to 6,743, the Nifty is up four points at 2,092.Infosys is up with a steady gain of Rs 8 at Rs 2,230, and Wipro has gained a per cent (Rs 5) to Rs 716. ITC (up Rs 12 to Rs 1,603) has opened with smart gains. While Reliance is up a rupee at Rs 541, ONGC has lost a per cent (Rs 7) to Rs 923. HLL has slipped 1.41% (Rs 2) to Rs 147.SBI (up Rs 4 to Rs 663) and ICICI Bank (up Rs 2 to Rs 401) have gained marginally in early trades. HDFC Bank, however, is down a per cent (Rs 4) at Rs 536.Ranbaxy has clocked a per cent gain (Rs 10) to Rs 1,124. Dr. Reddy's and Cipla have commenced with steady gains at Rs 735 and Rs 294, respectively.L&T at Rs 1,060 (up Rs 10) and HPCL at Rs 340 (up Rs 4), too, have resumed in the green.
