The Sensex opened with a positive gap of 153 points at 9,316, and is now up 139 points at 9,302.
Sterlite has soared 6% to Rs 265. DLF has surged nearly 5% to Rs 232.
Reliance Communications has rallied nearly 4% to Rs 215. Wipro and ICICI Bank have gained 3.5% each at Rs 247 and Rs 383, respectively.
Reliance, Infosys, Grasim and TCS have moved up around 3% each to Rs 1,154, Rs 1,192, Rs 995 and Rs 537, respectively.
Maruti has slipped nearly 2% to Rs 490, and Tata Motors has shed 1% at Rs 150.
