The Sensex is now up 17 points at 11,913.Reliance and Hindalco are up 2.6% each at Rs 944 and Rs 210, respectively. Tata Steel has added 2.5% to Rs 624.Bajaj Auto has gained nearly 2% at Rs 3,005.Grasim, ONGC, Tata Power and Satyam have advanced over 1% to Rs 2,334, Rs 1,342, Rs 589 and Rs 861, respectively.HDDFC has dropped 2.5% to Rs 1,269. Hero Honda has slipped 1.4% to Rs 860, and TCS has declined 1.2% to Rs 1,993.Bharti Tele, Tata Motors, HLL, Ranbaxy and HDFC Bank are down over 1% each at Rs 408, Rs 914, Rs 274, Rs 476 and Rs 839, respectively.The market breadth is fairly positive. Out of 2,274 stocks traded so far, 1,308 have advanced, 898 have declined and 68 are unchanged.Finolex Industries surged 5.5% to Rs 78. HMT, Welspun Gujarat, Alok Industries, Reliance Communication Ventures, Bombay Dyeing, VSNL, Jaiprakash Associated and SKF India are the other major gainers.State Bank of Mysore has dropped 5% to Rs 5,650. Chowgule Steamship, Arvind Remedies, Madras Aluminium, GHCL, Opto Circuits, Liberty Shoes, Sterlite Optical, Crompton Greaves and Sun Pharma are the other notable losers.
