Sensex up 188pts; Hindalco soars 7%

 Hindalco has soared 6.8% to Rs 176. BHEL and Reliance Energy have surged 3.5% each to Rs 1,698 and Rs 691, respectively.

HDFC and Ambuja Cements have rallied over 2% each to Rs 1,997 and Rs 129, respectively.

HDFC Bank and ICICI Bank have advanced 1.8% each to Rs 1,223 and Rs 983, respectively.

ITC, ACC and Bajaj Auto have gained around 1.5% each at Rs 155, Rs 1,087 and Rs 2,225, respectively.

TCS has shed nearly 1% to Rs 1,152.
