Profit-taking in tech stocks coupled with weakness in banking scrips has seen the index shed some gains in afternoon trades. The Sensex, as a result, is now up 20 points at 7,208, while the Nifty is steady at 2,192 - up seven points.Reliance Industries is trading firm with a strong gain of 2.17% (Rs 14) at Rs 656, while Reliance Energy is up 1.22% (Rs 8) at Rs 629.Infosys has gained 1.23% (Rs 26) to Rs 2,160. TCS (up Rs 18 or 1.49% to Rs 1,243) and Satyam (up Rs 5 to Rs 482) have pared gains due to profit-taking.L&T has clocked a per cent gain (Rs 10) to Rs 1,249.ONGC and ITC are trading lower by a per cent each at Rs 912 (down Rs 9) and Rs 1,752 (down Rs 14), respectively.ICICI Bank has declined 1.77% (Rs 8) to Rs 438. HDFC Bank is still lacklustre with a per cent loss (Rs 6) at Rs 639. SBI, however, is still unchanged with a per cent gain (Rs 4) at Rs 716.
