The Sensex is now up 207 points at 17,129.The index opened with a positive gap of 139 points at 17,060, and soon surged to a high of 17,158.REL has rallied 8.21% to Rs 1,110.50. Infosys has advanced 5.14% to Rs 1,918.ONGC is up nearly 4% to Rs 970. Tata Steel is up 3% to Rs 773.Cipla, Satyam and Tata Motors are all up more 2%.ACC, BHEL and TCS are the other major gainers.Ambuja Cements has slipped nearly 2% to Rs 145.10.Hindustan Unilever and Bharti-Airtel are marginally down.The NSE Nifty today crossed the 5000-mark for the first time ever. It is now up 55 points at 4996.
