The Sensex is now up 211 points at 12,085. The index had opened with a positive gap of 89 points at 11,963, and zoomed to a high of 12,145.The BSE Metal index has soared over 4% to 10,294.Tata Steel has surged 5.5% to Rs 605. Hindalco has moved up 2.2% to Rs 220.ONGC has flared up nearly 4% to Rs 1,415. Reliance has gained 2.7% to Rs 1,072. ITC has surged 3.4% to Rs 201.Hero Honda has zoomed 3.8% to Rs 880. Ranbaxy and Infosys have added 2.5% each to Rs 490 and Rs 3,220, respectively.Reliance Energy and SBI have advanced over 2% each to Rs 594 and Rs 944, respectively.Out of 2,379 stocks traded so far, 1,925 have advanced, 404 have declined and 50 are unchanged.Lakshmi Overseas tops the value chart with a turnover of Rs 75.17 crore followed by Tata Steel (Rs 73.14 crore), Reliance (Rs 72.66 crore), Tata Motors (Rs 55.82 crore) and Reliance Petro (Rs 37.88 crore).Reliance Petro leads the volume chart with trades of around 50.27 lakh shares followed by IFCI (35.42 lakh), G V Films (21.58 lakh), SAIL (20.11 lakh) and Himachal Futuristic (19.08 lakh).
