The market has lost some sheen in current trades, after a sharp upsurge in early noon trades saw the index inch closer towards the 6,800-mark. While select banking and tech stocks are still exhibiting firm trend, the Sensex has pared gains to 6,780 - up 22 points. The Nifty is steady at 2,098 - up five points.Wipro has gained 1.96% (Rs 14) to Rs 729, while Infosys is up with a steady gain of Rs 10 at Rs 2,228. TCS, however, is trading weaker by Rs 3 at Rs 1,277.HDFC Bank has flared up 4.89% (Rs 27) to Rs 580, while ICICI Bank has jumped 2.76% (Rs 11) to Rs 405. SBI is up a rupee at Rs 684, after early weakness.HDFC has shed most of its gains on profit-taking to Rs 802 - up Rs 22 or 2.79%. L&T is up a per cent (Rs 10) at Rs 1,109.Ranbaxy is still trading with a loss of 1.58% (Rs 18) at Rs 1,092, while other pharma counters are still divergent.Gujarat Ambuja is up 1.79% (Rs 8) at Rs 454, and ACC is up a notch at Rs 381. Grasim, however, is trading marginally lower at Rs 1,096.ITC has shed more ground to Rs 1,557 - down Rs 23 or 1.48%. While HLL (down Rs 4 or 3% to Rs 143) continues to trade with steep losses, Reliance is down a per cent (Rs 3) at Rs 549.
