Sensex up 226pts; Reliance, ACC shine

 Hindalco has zoomed 6.7% to Rs 175. Reliance, ACC and Ambuja Cements have soared around 3.5% each to Rs 1,780, Rs 1,109 and Rs 131, respectively.

 BHEL, Tata Motors and ITC have surged around 3% each to Rs 1,692, Rs 761 and Rs 157, respectively.

Mahindra & Mahindra and Larsen & Toubro have advanced around 2% each to Rs 821 and Rs 2,422, respectively.

TCS and Hindustan Unilever have dropped nearly 2% each to Rs 1,140 and Rs 202, respectively.

Out of 2,669 stocks traded so far, 1,424 have advanced, 1,164 have declined and 81 are unchanged.
