The Sensex is now up 27 points at 14,230.BHEL has surged over 3.3% to Rs 1,395. Ranbaxy has rallied 3% to Rs 381.Reliance Energy, Maruti, Larsen & Toubro and SBI have advanced around 2% each to Rs 538, Rs 744, Rs 1,962 and Rs 1,339, respectively.Tata Motors has gained 1.8% at Rs 654. Reliance Communications and HDFC Bank have moved up 1.3% each to Rs 498 and Rs 1,112, respectively.NTPC has dropped nearly 2% to Rs 151. HDFC, TCS, Satyam, Tata Steel and Dr.Reddy's have slipped over 1% each to Rs 1,801, Rs 1,189, Rs 485, Rs 607 and Rs 632, respectively.Out of 2,498 stocks traded so far, 1,474 have advanced, 943 have declined and 79 are unchanged.
