HDFC has slipped nearly 2% to Rs 1,124. ITC, Satyam and Reliance Energy have dropped around 1.5% each to Rs 163, Rs 466 and Rs 548, respectively.
Reliance Communications, HLL, Hindalco and Grasim are down 1% each at Rs 515, Rs 200, Rs 143 and Rs 2,485, respectively.
The market breadth is positive - out of 2,341 stocks traded so far, 1,230 have advanced, 1,129 declined and 82 are unchanged.
