The Sensex touched a high of 14,415, and is now up 325 points at 14,373. Financial and realty stocks are the major movers this morning.
ICICI Bank has soared 5.5% to Rs 668, and HDFC Bank has rallied 4.5% to Rs 1,269. SBI has surged 4% to Rs 1,363. HDFC has advanced 3.5% to Rs 2,326.
Reliance Infrastructure has surged 4% to Rs 974. Jaipakash Associates and DLF have gained 3.5% each at Rs 162 and Rs 484, respectively.
Tata Motors has advanced 3% to Rs 430. Maruti and Larsen & Toubro have moved up over 2.5% each to Rs 647 and Rs 2,563, respectively.
BHEL, Reliance Communications and TCS are up 2.3% each at Rs 1,667, Rs 394 and Rs 812, respectively.
Tata Steel, Sterlite, Reliance, Wipro, Hindalco, Bharti Airtel and ONGC are also up around 2% each.
Ranbaxy is the sole loser, down 0.7%, at Rs 510 among the index stocks.
