The Sensex is now up 33 points 12,004.Reliance Communications has surged 2.8% to Rs 341. Tata Steel, Larsen & Toubro and NTPC have gained 1.5% each at Rs 496, Rs 2,688 and Rs 129, respectively.Hero Honda has spurted over 1% to Rs 777. Maruti and Satyam are the other prominent gainers.ICICI Bank and HDFC Bank have slipped nearly 1% each to Rs 641 and Rs 873, respectively.Out of 2,382 stocks traded so far, 1,235 have declined, 1,054 have advanced and the rest are unchanged.
