The Sensex has advanced 37 points to 6,886 on firm early buying support in select old and new economy stocks. The Nifty has added eight points to 2,156.ONGC and Reliance have gained a per cent each to Rs 896 (up Rs 6) and Rs 575 (up Rs 4), respectively. While ITC has clocked a per cent gain (Rs 9) to Rs 1,380, HLL has opened weak at Rs 150.Infosys (up Rs 7 to Rs 2,240) and Wipro (up Rs 4 to Rs 725) have resumed with steady gains.SBI and HDFC Bank have clocked a per cent gain each at Rs 717 and Rs 590, respectively.Bajaj has gained 1.48% (Rs 16) to Rs 1,100. Other auto pivotals are up with steady gains in early trades.Hindalco (up Rs 12 to Rs 1,415), BHEL (up Rs 11 to Rs 863), HDFC (up Rs 8 to Rs 795) and Reliance Energy (up Rs 8 to Rs 565) have registered decent gains.
