The Sensex is now up 43 points at 12,424.Tata Steel has surged 2.5% to Rs 532, and Hindalco has added 1.7% to Rs 173.Gujarat Ambuja and Grasim have moved up over 2% each to Rs 118 and Rs 2,525, respectively. ACC has gained 1.5% at Rs 993.Tata Motors, NTPC, Ranbaxy, Maruti and Satyam are up over 1% each at Rs 853, Rs 129, Rs 435, Rs 953 and Rs 924, respectively.ICICI Bank has slipped 1.2% to Rs 700. Hero Honda is down 1% at Rs 782.Out of 2,005 stocks traded so far, 1,380 have advanced, 573 have declined and the rest are unchanged.
