The Sensex is now up 43 points at 13,306.
Sterlite has surged over 5% to Rs 462. Maruti has rallied 4% to Rs 728.
NTPC has gained 3.5% at Rs 175. SBI, Reliance and ONGC have advanced around 3% each to Rs 1,579, Rs 1,934 and Rs 1,008, respectively.
HDFC Bank and ICICI Bank have moved up over 2.5% each to Rs 1,217 and Rs 575, respectively.
Reliance Infrastructure has gained nearly 2% at Rs 845. ACC, Larsen & Toubro and Mahindra & Mahindra are up around 1.5% each at Rs 602, Rs 2,539 and Rs 545, respectively.
Ranbaxy has slumped 8.5% to Rs 347. Jaiprakash Associates has shed 5.5% at Rs 129.
Satyam has tumbled nearly 4% to Rs 336. Infosys has dropped 3.3% to Rs 1,523.
