The Sensex is now up four points at 14,539.Satyam has surged 2.3% to Rs 474. NTPC has rallied 1.7% to Rs 162, and Reliance Communications has gained 1.4% at Rs 518.Larsen & Toubro has advanced over 1% to Rs 1,969. Hindalco, SBI and Infosys are the other notable gainers.Tata Motors has dropped over 2% to Rs 695, and HDFC has shed 1.7% to Rs 1,866.HDFC Bank has slipped over 1% to Rs 1,145. ONGC and Maruti are the other notable losers.Out of 2,257 stocks traded so far, 1,287 have advanced, 899 have declined and 71 are unchanged.
