The Sensex tend to remain firm above the 7,300-mark since early trades. While the uptrend in the market is led by tech stocks, select heavyweights have eased in current trades. The Sensex, which touched a high of 7,336, is now up 57 points at 7,329. The Nifty has gained 18 points to 2,231.The market breadth is firm with gainers outpacing losers in the ratio of 3.7:1 on the BSE so far. Against 1,821 gainers, 480 scrips have lost ground.TCS has vaulted 7% (Rs 88) to Rs 1,336. While Infosys has notched up 2% gains (Rs 45) to Rs 2,241, Satyam has scaled up 2.74% (Rs 13) to Rs 494. Wipro has extended its gains by 1.44% (Rs 10) to Rs 714.Grasim has advanced 2% (Rs 22) to Rs 1,118. Other Sensex cement majors are up with steady gains.L&T has moved up 2.43% (Rs 31) to Rs 1,288, while Tata Power is up 1.45% (Rs 6) at Rs 407.ITC has declined 1.55% (Rs 27) to Rs 1,741. While ONGC is down 1.29% (Rs 12) at Rs 915, Reliance Industries is marginally down at Rs 665. Reliance Energy, however, has advanced 2.22% (Rs 14) to Rs 647.ICICI Bank has added 1.36% (Rs 6) to Rs 446, and SBI is up half-a-percent at Rs 721.IT stocks have flared up on strong buying support. Aptech, on reports of Jhunjhunwala picking up majority stake in the company, has shot up 14.68% (Rs 12) to Rs 91. Tata Infotech, which is to be merged with TCS, has gained 6.27% (Rs 38) to Rs 649. NIIT, CMC, Polaris Lab and Aftek Info have gained between 2-5%.Capital goods stocks, too, have rallied sharply. Kirloskar Brothers has flared up 10% (Rs 177) to Rs 1,949. Alstom has added 8.44% (Rs 15) to Rs 198, while Usha Martin is up 6.58% (Rs 5) at Rs 87. Graphit Industries, HMT, Praj Industries, Greaves Cotton and Nelco are up in a range of 2-6%.
