The Sensex this morning opened up 28 points at 15,426. Thereafter it touched a high of 15,476 - up 78 points. The index is now up 59 points at 15,458.
The Nifty is up 17 points at 4,611.
Mahindra & Mahindra has surged 2% to Rs 829. Hero Honda has added 1.5% to Rs 1,567.
Hindalco, Reliance Communications, Jaiprakash Associates, Maruti Suzuki and Sterlite have moved up 1% each.
